Meski tidak ada pernyataan resmi dari Katy, namun beberapa fans berspekulasi kalau lagu ini berkisah tentang pengalaman cinta dirinya dengan Orlando Bloom yang pasang surut. Seperti kita tahu, Katy dan Bloom sempat putus-nyambung sebelum akhirnya Bloom melamar Katy.
