Siapa yang sudah menantikan lagu baru dari Ed Sheeran? Penyanyi asal Inggis tersebut belum lama ini merilis single "Eyes Closed". Kabar baiknya, lagu ini merupakan sebuah pra-rilis menuju album terbarunya, yang bertajuk - (Substract). Rencananya, karya berisi 14 lagu ini akan diluncurkan pada 5 Mei mendatang.

Warner Music Indonesia "Eyes Closed" merupakan sebuah lagu tentang perpisahan. Ed Sheeran yang habis mengalami kehilangan, akhirnya mengulik kembali lagu yang diciptakannya beberapa tahun lalu ini. Dengan gaya musik pop, ia menata kembali lagu ini untuk album - (Subtract).
"Lagu ini tentang kehilangan seseorang, merasa seperti setiap kali Anda pergi keluar dan Anda berharap untuk bertemu dengan mereka, dan semuanya hanya mengingatkan Anda tentang mereka dan hal-hal yang Anda lakukan bersama. Anda agak harus membawa diri Anda keluar dari kenyataan kadang-kadang untuk mematikan rasa sakit karena kehilangan, tetapi hal-hal tertentu hanya membawa Anda kembali ke dalamnya," ungkap Ed.
Menyesuaikan dengan makna lagu, Ed lalu membuat sebuah video klip dengan konsep serupa. Dibintangi oleh dirinya sendiri, kehilangan membuatnya jadi punya sesosok teman imajiner berupa monster biru besar.
